Qadianis claim that Jesus (A.S.) was unaware of the misguidance of Christians, basing their argument on a specific question. They argue that if Jesus (A.S.) had knowledge of their deviation, then his response would be false. However, this claim requires deeper analysis to reveal the truth.

Qur’anic Reference:

قَالَ سُبۡحٰنَکَ مَا یَکُوۡنُ لِیۡۤ اَنۡ اَقُوۡلَ مَا لَیۡسَ لِیۡ ٭ بِحَقٍّ ؕ
(“They will say: Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right to say.” – Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:116)

Qadianis argue that this proves Jesus (A.S.) will not return because if he did, he would become aware of Christian misguidance, which would supposedly contradict his response.

Response:

Misinterpretation of the Question:

The question posed to Jesus (A.S.) in the Qur’an is whether he instructed his followers to worship him and his mother as deities.

It is not about whether he was aware of their misguidance.

Nowhere in his response does Jesus (A.S.) claim that he was unaware of his followers’ deviation. The Qadiani assertion that he says, “I was unaware of my followers’ misguidance,” is a distortion of the text.

Contradiction in Qadiani Beliefs:

If we accept their argument, then what will they say about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani?

Mirza Qadiani himself admitted that Jesus (A.S.) was informed of the corruption in his community. He wrote: “It has been revealed to me that the poisonous wind spread among Christians was made known to Jesus (A.S.).”

(Aina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam, p. 254, Ruhani Khazain, vol. 5)

“Allah showed Jesus (A.S.) this Christian misguidance in heaven and informed him of it before the Day of Judgment. Seeing this, he became restless to descend.”

(Aina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam, p. 268, Ruhani Khazain, vol. 5)

These references prove that according to Mirza Qadiani himself, Jesus (A.S.) was made aware of the Christians’ corruption before the Day of Judgment.

Logical Conclusion:

If accepting that Jesus (A.S.) knew of his followers’ misguidance before the Day of Judgment makes his response false, then Mirza Qadiani himself is guilty of calling Jesus (A.S.) a liar—a statement of disbelief.

Since Mirza Qadiani acknowledged that Jesus (A.S.) knew of Christian misguidance, it logically follows that this does not contradict the Qur’anic verse.

Therefore, the Qadiani objection that believing in the second coming of Jesus (A.S.) would make his response false is baseless.
